Account & Data Deletion
Effective date: Not yet specified · Last updated: Not yet specified
1. Delete a child profile
A parent can delete a child profile through Family management in the service, or by sending a verified request to Not yet specified. Deletion revokes the child’s access and removes direct identifying information. To preserve the integrity of family accounting, historical money records are not deleted in a way that breaks the ledger; they are retained in anonymized form.
- Nickname, internal profile image, and sign-in link are removed or replaced with anonymous values.
- Events, active allowance items, messages, and linked files are removed from the active system.
- Amounts, dates, and historical financial transactions may be retained without identifying information to preserve the integrity of family records.
- Limited consent and security records may be retained when required for documentation, security, or legal protection.
2. Delete an adult account or family space
An adult can delete the sign-in account from the More screen or contact Not yet specified. If another active parent exists, family ownership is transferred to them and the deleted account is detached from records while the anonymous history needed for family integrity is retained. If the user is the last parent, deleting the account also deletes the family space and its active data.
3. Processing times
We aim to complete verified deletion requests in active systems within 30 days unless the law requires otherwise. Backups may be retained for up to Not yet specified additional days and will be deleted during the normal backup cycle. During this period, backups are not used for normal operations and are restored only for security or disaster recovery.
4. Limited retention after deletion
- Tax and accounting records.
- Subscription and payment records.
- Fraud-prevention and chargeback records.
- Information needed to defend legal claims.
- Notice, consent, consent-withdrawal, and parental-verification records.
- Information subject to a court order or legal hold.
Retained information will be minimized, access-restricted, and not used for marketing.
5. Providers and external copies
Where necessary, we will instruct relevant providers to delete information. Information copied, exported, or captured by another family member is outside the operator's control and may require contacting that family member directly.
6. Request verification
To protect the family, we may verify account access, email ownership, a one-time code, the relationship to the child profile, and parental or guardian authority if disputed. We will not request information disproportionate to the verification need.
